Made from oak from Ballycastle, and treated with older methods of preserving the interior and highlighting grain.

Oak is renowned across several cultures for it's strength, endurance and longevity.

Used in shipbuilding, oak has a known ability to withstand and endure a number of conditions.

In Viking mythology, oak was associated with Thor, possibly because oak is one of a few trees which act to attract lightning. They have a high moisture content and ability for conductivity, and withstand strikes better. Seeing one still live after getting hit would have certainly told a tale.

This bowl measures 6.5 inches diameter by 2 in deep. Wipe over with a cloth to clean.
