Made using a beautifully marbled piece of beech from Strangford, Co Down.

Beech is regarded as the Queen of the forest, where oak is the King. Strips of beech were dried and bound to be written upon, forming the first recorded books- as such beech is held as a symbol of wisdom, that of the written word and the transmission of lore.

Measures 5.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches in depth.
