A small mortar and pestle made using beech from Castleward.

Where oak is referred to as king of the wood, beech earns the title "Queen of the Woods", providing a shelter underneath her branches for all that pass in the forest.

The bowl measures just under 5.5in diameter and roughly 4 in deep.
