This flagon is made from a hefty chunk of wood, sourced locally in N Ireland, and adorned with a pewter handle in an armring style. We use whatever woods we have available, please contact us if theres a specific wood needed.

The hand burnt design is from the Mammen axe head, a small axe with a head only 6.25 x 4 inches, known as Peterson G type. The original axe resides in the Copenhagen National Museum, and dates from c970.

The flagon holds around a pint of liquid, perfect for mead or ale.

It is finished in beeswax, and food safe.
