Beech from Castleward, that fell in Storm Ophelia, 2017, and twinned with mahogany from Antrim, 2019.

This box measures 6 inches across, and around 6.5 inches from top to bottom, with a 2.5 inch compartment.

Beech is regarded as Queen of the Forest, where oak is King, and strips of beech were dried and bound to be written upon, forming the first recorded books.

Mahogany is long known for its ability to resist environmental influences and temperatures- making it an incredibly timeless wood.
