Spalted Beech from close to Castle Ward, that fell during Storm Ophelia in 2017. Beech is regarded as the Queen of the forest, where oak is the King. Strips of beech were dried and bound to be written upon, forming the first recorded books- as such beech is held as a symbol of wisdom, that of the written word and the transmission of lore.

Measures around 6 inches diameter and 3 deep, it's embellished with a pin design around the rim coloured in a purple shade.
