Irish yew from Antrim Castle Gardens that came down in 2018.
Yew has historically been found around great houses, graveyards and monuments. It is a beautiful tree, inside and out, with associations for longevity and regeneration.
The pattern is from a coin found in Ribe, one of 252 coins, found in the same year the tree fell. They are dated to c. 800-825.
Measures roughly 6.5 in by 2.5 deep.
